That mountain behind us is Flat Top - the most hiked mountain in Alaska.

 Ethan drew this awesome looking Bat-mobile.

 Is the boys love of all things Batman not subtle enough? I throw no fuel on the burning flame that is their admiration of the Dark Knight. It burns brightly all on its own.

These ski pictures were supposed to be last, but somehow they got mixed-up.

 Ethan's first time skiing. We hit the slopes for about 2 hours in sub-zero temperatures, and he loved it.

Since this photo I've added more snow and made the main room bigger. Ethan, Seth and I spent the night in this cave, and it was warmer underneath the blankets and sleeping bags than in my own bed. Oustide the temperature dropped to -7 that night. Because people ask a lot, here's how you do it: get enough snow to make a sizable cave (18'' thick walls are ideal to prevent cave-in); lay a tarp down; throw down one or two blankets; sleeping bags (our bags have about -5 to 0 degree comfort ranges) and a blanket or two on top of that; I stuck a couple of towels over the entrance with tent pegs to block out wind.
